The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
